Boynton
is just 3 miles west of Bridlington, on the beautiful coast of
East Yorkshire, in the north east of England. You can view
a map and plan your journey on this page. The surrounding
area is one of outstanding natural beauty and is rich in heritage.
There’s lots for you to do in our part of East Yorkshire,
whether you’re having an adult-only visit or a family holiday.
Perhaps you
have fond memories of a childhood holiday by the sea and want
to share those experiences with your children? You’ll be
spoilt for choice with the wide beaches at Bridlington, Filey
and Scarborough and, if you’re tired of paddling, there’s
always rock pooling at Flamborough. Have
you visited the RSPB reserve at Bempton? It’s close by and
a firm family favourite. If the kids love wildlife then they’ll
love Cruckley Farm!
Or perhaps
you’d prefer a bracing walk along our stretch of the Heritage
Coast in Flamborough, followed by a more relaxing stroll after
lunch around the art galleries and antique shops of Bridlington’s
Old Town? There’s the newly restored Bridlington Spa to
visit too, perhaps you'd like to take in a show? There’s
also golf, horse riding, fishing and indoor swimming close by.
We’re
lucky to be spoilt for choice with stately homes. Choose from
Sewerby Hall with its own zoo, Burton Agnes Hall and Sledmere
House - all only a short drive away from No. 8. A few miles further
afield you'll find the majestic Castle Howard, home of ‘Brideshead
Revisited’ and Scampston Hall, with many others spread around
this beautiful part of the world.
And of course
there’s the breathtaking Yorkshire Wolds, the North York
Moors (Heartbeat country) with its historic steam railway, the
dramatic seaside resort of Whitby and its magnificent Abbey, the
award-winning 'The Deep' in Hull and (if you still have the energy!)
you can shop-till-you-drop or enjoy a day at the races in York
or Beverley!
But it's not
all hustle and bustle! After a busy day exploring the area you
can look forward to a relaxing glass of complimentary wine on
the lawn in the tranquil surroundings of No. 8.
